Ngima Tamang

Ngima grew up in Lukla, where his family ran a small tea shop frequented by guides and porters. Their stories got him curious about guiding, and he worked as a porter during school holidays before becoming a guide himself.

Since 2016, he has guided Everest Base Camp treks. His approach is simple: slowly slowly. He pays attention to each trekker’s pace and believes there is no need to race the mountains.
